Our kenable Cat7 S/FTP indoor cable is designed with FULL COPPER 23AWG twisted pairs and each pair of cores has a foil shield as well as a foil braid inside the sheath to reduce interference and cross talk. This cable is capable of transferring up to 10 gig at 600Mhz!

Our range of Cat7 cables run much faster Cat 6 or Cat5 cables but are backwardly compatible. Our range of Cat 7 cables have double shielding to eliminate cross talk and interference. Referred to as F/STP under the sheath lies a foil shield and then underneath this each twisted pair is also inside a foil shield. Perfect for the latest in 4K TVs Gaming Consoles MacBooks PC s Laptops Notebooks CCTV Access Points Range Extenders and any other device that uses the RJ45 connection.

So what is the difference between Cat 5e Cat 6 and Cat 7 cables?
There are two main factors to look at when comparing network cables. The first is the speed (bandwidth) and the other the frequency (MHz).

The Speed determines how much data (bandwidth) can be sent through the cable. Cat 7 cables have a maximum speed/bandwidth of 10 000 Mbit/s but Cat 6 carries a lower 1000Mbit/s and the cat 5e range of cables carry up to 1000Mbit/s.

The Frequency or MHz indicates how often the signal can pass through the cable. Cat 7 cables have a very high frequency at 600Mhz but Cat 6 only has 250Mhz and Cat5e 100Mhz. Overall a Cat 7 cable will allow more bandwidth at a faster rate than the previous Cat 6 or Cat5e Cables.

Cat5e Has a speed to 1000 Mbit/s 100mhz
Cat6 Has a speed to 1000 Mbit/s 250mhz
Cat6a Has a speed to 10000 Mbit/s 500mhz
Cat7 Has a speed to 10000 Mbit/s 600mhz

Our range of Cat7 Cables have a double shielding (S/FTP) to eliminate the chance of cross talk and interference from near by devices. These cables are FULL COPPER which is suitable for POE devices such as Access points WIFI Range extenders CCTV or networking switches that need to carry power via the Ethernet cable to a POE port.

Fluke Tested!
A fluke test checks for cable performance. When testing a specific cable the main reason for this is to check to the length of the cable meets performance standards per particular cable type (cat5e cat6 etc.). It also checks resistance (ohms) insertion loss margin (dB) frequency (MHz).

ECA CPR RATED
A CPR Rated cable is tested for basic building regulation standards. This cable meets construction products regulations (CPR) which tests the cables reaction to fire and their emission of dangerous substances.
