    This encam 9 port switch has 8 dedicated ports for POE (power over ethernet) and 1 10/100mbps port labelled WAN. The first 8 ports are used to send power over Ethernet usually for CCTV cameras but some access points or wifi range extenders also use this feature among other devices.

    When using with our encam NVR or XVR recorders simply connect a cable from the recorder to the WAN port. Then connect a POE camera to any of the POE ports on the front of the switch.

    Please Note: if powering 8 cameras with this switch an additional network switch may be required to connect your recorder to the internet if your recorder only has 1 RJ45 output. Please see QS: 090027 for our 10 Port version of this switch.

    The POE is fitted with an “EXTEND” switch that will allow you to increase the distance of the POE ports when turned on.
