Bus powered hubs like this one have a limit of 500mA - some combination of peripherals won't be possible if total power consumption is more than 500mA. Self Powered USB devices (e.g. printers) need very little power. Mice need usually around 150mA. Other devices USB ADSL modems, USB power scanners will need all 500mA so can't use the hub.
