kenable offer a full range of audio cables, from simple 3.5mm jack to jack cables to digital coax & optical cables. We supply a great range of adapters and converters. We also try to provide a range of qualities, so we have cheaper audio cables and higher quality OFC cables.
OFC Cables Oxygen Free Copper - this is the best quality of copper cable for audio uses. OFC can range in qualities, usually from 99% to 99.999% oxygen free. The oxygen left in the copper means that it's less pure and causes more signal loss. Most cheap cables are CCA (copper coated aluminium) these day or worse, so buying any OFC cable is much better. For the best sound quality, go for the most pure OFC cable that you can afford.
What are 2, 3 and 4 pole jacks? A pole is basically a contact. So if you need mono connection, you'll have a 2 pole jack, with one pole for the audio and one for the ground. 3 pole offers an extra contact, so you can have 2 pole for audio - left channel and right channel stereo and a pole for the ground. 4 pole offers another contact so you can add something like video or a microphone connection, aswell as the stereo audio. Useful for MP4 video players where you need a stereo sound signal aswell as a video signal. 4 pole is also used in headsets, where a stereo headphone and a mic are connected to one jack.
